Covid-19 Update 05/11/2020

WE ARE STILL NOW OPEN FOR ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS

Up until now we have only been offering appointments to those presenting with an urgent need. However, we are now in a position to provide care to wider population of people. We have been busy working behind the scenes in order to ensure the safe practice of our clinic upon our return.  This work has included formulation of risk assessments, hygiene policies, procurement of adequate PPE and adaptations to the premises and how we will operate moving forward. We understand that many people have been struggling without our face to face services and we are pleased to now be in a position where we can safely welcome clients back into the clinic.

OUR DECISION TO REOPEN

We have followed guidance from The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and Government Guidelines to inform how we intend to operate moving forward
"There is no prohibition on chiropractors providing care for patients. Chiropractors should continue to exercise their professional judgement in determining whether it is appropriate to see any, and each, patient. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the GCC has consistently stated that for patients in need of care a registrant must have regard to the Code, and must:

  • put patients’ health first, respect them and ensure that you promote their health and welfare at all times (Principle A)
  • prioritise patients’ health and welfare at all times when carrying out assessments, making referrals or providing or arranging care (A5)
  • treat patients in a hygienic and safe environment (A6)"

PRECAUTIONS WE ARE TAKING TO KEEP YOU SAFE

It is our duty of care to ensure that we are compliant with Public Health England and their requirements, which include maintaining social distancing, adequate PPE and appropriate hygiene procedures.

Despite our precautions, there is always a possible risk of human-to human transmissions of the Coronavirus. Whilst we have considered at length the reasonable precautions we need to take in order to operate safely, we cannot 100% guarantee that we are able to eliminate the risk of transmission.

Clients will be attending at their own risk and in order to make an informed decision, our Risk Assessment and Covid-19 precautionary procedures can be found below.
