We are excited to announce that The Health Lounge will be opening on a phased return from 27th May. We have been busy working behind the scenes in order to ensure the safe practice of our clinic upon our return.
This work has included formulation of risk assessments, hygiene policies, procurement of adequate PPE and adaptations to the premises and how we will operate moving forward.
We understand that many people have been struggling without our face to face services and we are pleased to now be in a position where we can safely welcome clients back into the clinic.
During our phased return we will only be offering services to those with a symptomatic or urgent need and there will be certain groups of people that we would encourage to wait slightly longer before booking an appointment (further information below).
OUR DECISION TO REOPEN
We have followed guidance from the United Chiropractic Association (UCA), The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and Government Guidelines to inform our decision to reopen and how we intend to operate moving forward
The GCC states on their website (13/05/20):
“The GCC is continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation and the latest Government advice and guidance and encourages chiropractors to remain up to date with all public health statements. In the Government legislation, issued to date across the UK, there is no prohibition on chiropractic clinics continuing to remain open to provide care for patients."
"The UCA, MCA and SCA have collectively issued a statement to their members advising that once deemed safe, following a risk assessment, any return to face to face care, based on need, should be restricted to non vulnerable groups, and to not see the clinically vulnerable and extremely vulnerable groups in the meantime."
